“My name is Alessia Pozzi and I’m a photographer based in Milano. I love shooting on film because it gives unique and emotional feelings, colours and textures. I graduated in photography at the University of West London and right now I’m following my passion and my dream of becoming a fashion photograher. I’m pleased to share with you my series called ‘From my grandmother closet’. As it can be guessed from the title, for this shooting I decided to use my grandmother’s clothes and adapt them to nowadays trends. My idea was to express the idea that everything comes back from the past, especially in the fashion industry, trends always return. This is also a complaint against the fashion industry and especially regarding the quality of nowadays clothes that in order to sell more, they lower the price and the quality too, ending up buying every year more clothes as they last less.
I shot this images with Mamiya rb67 and Minolta x-300 using Portra 160”.
